 10/21PM Albacores-Bottomfish
Posted by Devin Cage at 10:53:07 AM on 10/23/2009

Well it's been blowing for about a solid week which produced a large swell along the beach so no one has been fishing on the inshore scene really. I sliped out on the first calm day and had to run 8 miles out to find some cleaner water and a temp in the 60's,it was 58 around the inlet. Plenty of false albacores were still around,we landed 15 or so for the morning in the 5lb-10lb range. No king bites the water looked awful for that. We did a little bottom fishing for the triggerfish but never landed any, they'll be back once the water settles back down and warms a little. In along the beach in the afternoon plenty of bluefish were landed.
Big run of puppy drum in the surf down here, from one end of the beach to the other. Russ landed 6 nice keeper speckled trout out of the surf as well.

Good luck, Devin
