Fishing has picked up a bit here in La Gomera. Two days ago Record-Chasing-Jason with angler Gary Carter on the "Bostinegro" caught the potential new world record on 6 Lb. test line, 357 lbs. I help them celebrate and didn't let them see the tears, since the old record was Stewart Campbell's with Capt Bark Garnsey, Hamish Burns, and myself on the "Chunda". I suppose records are made to be broken. Yesterday 4 blues released and another couple lost, so it is beginning to come back.  |
