WOW, what a treat, I'm off the water before dark thirty today. Another double 1/2 day. morning trip was pulled off by the seat of my pants. Guys, trust your guide or Captain. One of my guys had NO confidence in what I was asking him to use. He wanted to try this or that but I knew if he would work it like I ask him he would catch fish and in the end it worked out. Thanks Ron for going back to it and sticking with it...it paid off. Steve, you took my suggestions on you casting well and you did a good job! was pleased to see you pick up another 20' with your casts. Good job guys! Now here is where it got interesting...was one of the trips that I had some of the most fun on in a long time with Al and his crew. Worked a spot in Little River where I got them yesterday only a couple of bites. Moved back out to a spot in front of the "Big Rock" marked and caught a few...moved back up and anchored. It was on for the next 3 & 1/2 hours as fast as you could go. Al ( used to be a pref. bass fisherman) was getting smoked by Jimmy and Travis but after much ribbing got his second wind and started catching fish ( a little to late to catch up). As it started raining things started getting a little slippery on the boat and the next thing I knew Al hooked a 6 or 7 pounder and...through his hands goes HIS $500.00 rod with fish attached. It all happened in slow motion. We almost got his rod back ( Travis needed to be 4" longer). I tried to catch with another rod but I was to slow or the fish was to fast. Never got the rod. By now the rain was steady and I was the only one with rain gear on the boat so the guys called it a day and went home laughing. Al sorry about your rod, Looking forward to seeing you guys next year. Lee
