Fishing Report

May and June are good times for the All Day Bluewater Trolling/Bottomfishing Combo Trips or All Day Sight Casting Trips for Cobia. In Hatteras in May and June you have Bluewater Trolling some days within sight of the Beach catching Dolphin. The way this trip generally works is we get about 5 to 6 miles off the beach and put out our trolling gear for Wahoos,Dolphin and King Mackeral and we fish our way on off the beach to where we go bottomfishing.We climb in the tower and look for Cobia also while on the way out.Once on the bottomfishing grounds we will be targeting Seabass,Triggerfish,Snappers,Tilefish and Groupers...just depending upon the tide. Once done bottomfishing we fish our way back to the beach........Basically you are spend more time fishing then riding. General distance off the beach to the bottomfishing is 20-23 miles I can do only full days on this trip.
